Over the past months, EMI/Virgin Classics has released three albums featuring the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and Yannick Nézet-Séguin to great critical acclaim. The Beethoven/Korngold-album with soloist Renaud Capuçon will be in the spotlight once again at the start of RPhO’s next season, when Capuçon will be performing the Beethoven Concerto with the orchestra and Yannick Nézet-Séguin on September 24th and 25th. The Ravel album continues to receive enthusiastic reviews internationally as well as in Holland. It has been nominated for a Dutch Edison Award only last week. A programme of virtuoso operatic fantasies with Emmanuel Pahud has been released in March 2010.
