At this year, the Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards are the UK’s most prestigious accolade for live classical music. The ceremony was hosted at the London Dorchester Hotel in association with the BBC Radio 3 and presented by the famous conductor Sir Charles Mackerras.
The press release emphasizes that Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who is Principal Guest Conductor of the London Philharmonic Orchestra since September 2008, “has already made a huge impact on London's musical life.
