December 22, 2011 : Yannick conducts the Orchestre Métropolitain and the Métropolitain Choir in Jean-Sébastien Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, at St-Jean-Baptiste Church, in Montreal. Soloists: Hélène Brunet, soprano; Aidan Ferguson, mezzo-soprano; Jacques-Olivier Chartier, tenor; Alexander Dobson, baritone.

November 8, 2011 : Yannick becomes laureate of one Prix du Québec, the highest distinction offered by the Québec Government: il receives the  Denise-Pelletier Award in recognition of his wonderful career in the artistic and cultural domain.

3 novembre 2011 : Yannick dirige Ein Deutches Requiem de Brahms avec l’Orchestre de Philadelphie, la soprano Dorothea Röschmann, le baryton Matthias Goerne et le Chœur symphonique du Westminster Choir College au Verizon Hall de Philadelphie.

March 21, 2011 : Yannick receives an honorary doctorate, Arts and Education, from the Université du Quebec à Montréal (UQAM), the ceremony preceding a concert from l’Orchestre métropolitain (Montreal)
